We work closely with our customers from day one to understand their challenges and determine a solution that is both cost effective and time sensitive.  We pride ourselves on delivering results.

Our work has been used to help reach new clients, educate patients, promote medical advancements and the list goes on and on.

At GPI, we believe that a well-tuned process is the key to surpassing our client’s goals.

With over 40 years of experience in creating custom plastic and metal products we work closely with our clients to assess their needs and create original and realistic design concepts. Optional 1st run prototypes can be manufactured for customer approval. Once approved we will work to produce custom anatomical models in large quantities. During this process the production artwork for base imprints, printed materials, and packaging are finalized and implemented into the final assembly.

The whole process can take up to six months, so proper planning is absolutely critical to the success of any custom anatomical model project.

Key Milestones in the Process:

• Purchase Order Date
• Prototype Approval Date
• Pre-Production Sample Approval Date
• Ready to Ship Date

Below is a look at a few of the steps that are involved in the creation of a custom anatomical model:

Slide 1
2D Drawings

This step sets the foundation for the entire project and is typically done hand-in-hand with the client to ensure that all crucial elements of the model are accounted for.

Slide 2
3D Digital Files

GPI takes the 2D drawings and creates 3D files to better visualize the finished product. During this step, clients are consulted as opportunities for improvements or concessions for economical large scale manufacturing come up while the design is being finalized.

Slide 3
3D Printed Sample

GPI will take the 3D file and create a 3D printed prototype of the model. This is the last step in the process prior to the creation of tools and molds required for manufacturing which makes it critical that all elements of the model are approved.

Slide 4
First Shot Samples

This step is another chance to ensure that the custom model is exactly as expected. GPI will manufacture a small number of models with the injection molding tooling to ensure that they each meet our strict quality standards and the client will have a chance to inspect the model as well.

Slide 5
Pre-Production Samples

This final step prior to mass production is a chance to ensure that all decorating and coloring is done exactly correct. Once approved, GPI will begin production of the total quantity agreed to.
